"Share What You Have"

Pour Out A Blessing © by Mary Beatty

Lambie Pie, remember that teapot painting at the front of Mary's Art Studio displayed so proudly? I call that painting "Tillie the Teapot".
Now while we share tea, Tillie will share her story
..

Once upon a time I was a
valuable piece of porcelain.
I was cherished by my wealthy hostess
and was the attraction at many teas.
I was the focus of social luncheons,
coveted for my refined form and
delicate beauty.

One day when I was left unattended
a wolf in sheep's clothing
knocked me off my pedestal
and I became broken,
worthless merchandise.
My wealthy hostess had no
further use for me
and left me with trash at the curb.

By some miracle I was rescued
from the street, taken to a thrift shop and placed on a bargain shelf.
"What earthly good is a teapot without
a handle", I wailed.
I was tagged - CHEAP WILL SELL AS IS!
I was picked up, looked at, then
discarded, of no value.

One day an Artist reached
to the back of the shelf,
Looked me over and held me
gently, whispering
"I have found my very own."
Another voice said, "You're out of your mind.
What earthly good is a teapot without a handle!"

"Oh, I see a future for this beauty"
Artist said with glee!
Then washed me and polished me
And held me firmly.
For this Artist saw me with the heart of God
"I will paint you and share you as the
beauty I see!"

I sometimes look at myself negatively, feeling unworthy or incapable of pouring out Blessings to others.  But God sees us differently and has a Beautiful plan for each one of us!

Something Beautiful
by William & Gloria Gaither

Something beautiful, something good,
All my confusion He understood,
All I had to offer Him
was brokenness and strife,
But He made something beautiful of my life.
