"When we reach the end of our rope,
By Faith our Lord then gives us Hope
And carries us to a higher plane
Where we'll never again be the same."
For Jim ~ mb 8/16/07

"Some spend their lives preaching Grace but lack the quality of being gracious."
~ F. R. Cox 12/22/06

Forty is a very attractive age (I can almost remember...); the world is full of women who have, one way or another, remained forty for years (each year my calendar is marked "40-AGAIN")! How quickly we reach this perfectly beautiful age, coast along for awhile... then everything is downhill the rest of the journey!!:-) Happy coasting, beautiful niece!
For Elaine ~mb 9/28/06

There is so much beauty in your "Burton Street World". There are fountains, chimes, gardens, art, antiques, pictures, music, good food, comfort, books, creative wallpaper, flowers, watermelon in a compote, flowers compressed under glass, cloth napkins with lace, artfully hidden power supports (what are they really called), boxwoods, memories, and so much more. Look around and recall again the richness. I will do the same about my corner of the world. We are rich and blessed people, very rich, very blessed.
For me ~ From John ~ Thank You! 9/13/06

One must wait until evening to see
how splendid the day has been.
For Harold (Happy Birthday!) 4/29/06

For Tony (favorite nephew...) ~mb 6/4/05

He who sends the raindrops sends the sunshine! May He look down upon you at this difficult time and brush dark clouds of fear from your mind! Then bless you with a huge serving of peace and courage!
For Eve ~mb 4/26/05

This next year will be your greatest year ever! God will show Himself BIG in you, and He shall do exploits in you that are beyond anything you could ever think or dream! I can't wait to SEE and HEAR the reports of His Goodness and Mercy as they follow your life - all the days of this year! Happy Birthday!
For me ~ From Dave ~ Thank You! 3/12/05

The reason you are so good at what you do is because you are still learning, therefore always striving to reach your goal. A goal you can not reach because you will be always learning!
For me ~ From Rick Thaxton ~ Thank you! 3/4/05

You may have thought you lost the passion for your art, but it was just smoldering until it was time to grow to a full flame again.
For me ~ From Michelle ~ Thank you! 5/4/04

I wish you joy
I wish you laughter
I wish you brave beginnings
And happy endings!
For Laura and Gary ~Mom
He will sustain you and be your resource
for strength and encouragement.
His Word is a balm for a hurting heart
and prayer,
especially the prayer of praise,
can calm the most unsettled spirit.
For me

"I'm thinking of you!" Love, God
For Dean, my church pew buddy/friend ~ 4/26/04
Like Clouds and wind without rain is a
Man who boasts of a gift he does not give.
~Proverbs 25:14
May the sun bring you new energies
May the rain wash away any worries
May the gentle breeze refresh your soul
May you walk gently through life
And inhale its beauty!
For Jenny and Frank ~Mom
TODAY
I wish for you
Peace, Happiness and Contentment –
Doled out in teeny-tiny bite-size pieces
Until you become keenly aware
That the Lord is watching over you
Caring for you gently.

From the first day until now.
For Jim ~mb 11/27.05
I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with
you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. For I am the Lord, your God, who
takes hold of your right hand and says to you, "Do not fear; I will help you."
For Rhonda ~Isaiah 41:9, 10, 13

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.

For Ann and Mike ~Psalm 91:11

Dear Lord, ...help us to turn loose of the things we can not keep, so that we might hold fast those things we dare not lose. Amen
For Tony and Barb ~ Pastor Ron DeGraaff, Seniors' pastor at my church 4/25/04

I do have to confess to being a realist
Part of why I can’t write poetry.
But realism and imagination
Can counter balance each other
So that we don’t go off on tangents
Too far one way or the other.
~Jim 4/20/04

Now would be a very appropriate time for him to become a man and face his responsibilities. But everyone has their own season to blossom. You can't hatch an egg quicker by turning up the heat. ~F. R. Cox
The flower in my Garden of Patience has been well sprinkled lately, but flourishes in the warmth of the Son.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away!

God has placed someone in your life so that you can be better at what you do than you would be by yourself.

Change is inevitable and our ability to cope with change determines, to a great degree, our peace, happiness, and contentment in life.

Mary, I have a waiting list for your book. Just paint when you feel inspired. I think God gave you a special talent and He is showing you many doors, and they are all with your art. I even think that when your time comes, there will be an unfinished piece on your easel!
For me ~ From my friend, Jo Jo ~ Thank you! 5/4/04

The Lord bless thee and keep thee; the Lord make His face shine upon thee and be gracious unto thee. The Lord lift up His countenance upon thee and give thee peace.
