~~ I love these thoughts on Friendship! ~~

We force no doors in friendship, but like the Christ in Revelation, we stand reverently at the door without, to knock. And only if the door be opened from within, may we be welcome in to sup with our friend and he with us.

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

A hedge between keeps friendship green.

Laughter is the shortest distance between two people.

~ Victor Borge

The glory of Friendship is not the outstretched hand, nor the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone else believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship. My friends have come unsought. The great God gave them to me.

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

With colors that never fade,

And we find at the end of a perfect day

The soul of a friend we've made.

~~ Doesn't God meet our needs though people?! ~~

In everyone's life, at some time,

our inner fire goes out. It is then

burst into flame by an encounter

with another human being.

We should all be thankful

for those people who rekindle

the inner spirit..

Computers operate on simple principles that

can easily be understood by anybody with some              common sense, a little imagination and an IQ of 750.

You might find that everything works

with your computer exactly the way it is supposed to,

no problems, no glitches, nothing, in which case ...

Whatever you do, don't wake up!

I argue very well. Ask any of my remaining friends. I can win an argument on any topic, against any opponent. People know this, and steer clear of me at parties. Often, as a sign of their great respect, they don't even invite me.

~ Dave Barry
