The Rose Beyond The Wall

Near shady wall a rose once grew,

Budded and blossomed

in God's free light,

Watered and fed by morning dew,

Shedding its sweetness day and night.

As it grew and blossomed fair and tall,

Slowly rising to loftier height,

It came to a crevice in the wall

Through which there shone a beam of Light.

Onward it crept with added strength

With never a thought of fear or pride,

It followed the light

through the crevice's length

And unfolded itself on the other side.

The light, the dew, the broadening view

Were found the same

as they were before,

And it lost itself in beauties new,

Breathing its fragrance more and more.

Shall claim of death cause us to grieve

And make our courage faint and fall?

Nay! Let us faith and hope receive -

The rose still grows beyond the wall.

Scattering fragrance far and wide

Just as it did in days of yore,

Just as it did on the other side,

Just as it will forevermore!

IN LOVING MEMORY

First Brother

 Beyond the Sunset

 I've Got A Mansion

 I'll Fly Away

For many years, First Brother sang these old tunes with confidence! - his face radiant with  Joy and Hope from  the precious message in the lyrics of this medley!  Today,  he "flew away" to  his heavenly Mansion prepared by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. For him, earth's toiling has ended. No more struggles. No more pain.  By faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross, I know he joins Ronnie, his first son, Mom and Dad, Ken, and many other loved ones  in  that  heavenly chorus - all singing praises to our almighty, merciful and loving Heavenly Father!

So, we are no longer "The Nine", but eight unique and blessed brothers and sisters!   And though we are scattered throughout the U.S. and abroad, let's continue to stay close, love the Lord,   and share  in each other's joys and heartaches!

We are FAMILY!

And above all else, remember:

Don't let our circle be broken!

 Daddy said so!!
