Hello! I'm Mary Beatty, Awannabe Artist, although my paintings have been exhibited professionally in state and national shows. Self-taught artists are forever  wannabes. We're continually working and learning,   expecting our next painting to be our "masterpiece."

You are cordially invited to visit the galleries but come as you are!  No appointment necessary and the tour is free - and family friendly. Should you visit at the end of a long day, just kick off your shoes and be comfortable - nothing picture perfect here.

All pages on this site were created using 800 x 600 resolution and work best with Internet Explorer 6.0 and later. All the pages do work at 1024 X 768 but some look a little strange at the smaller resolution. Also,  Java Scripting must be enabled in order to view some of the pages effectively.  To do that: Open Internet Explorer/Tools/Options/Advanced Tab - scroll down to Microsoft VM, check Display Java Applets Blocked dialog.  Now, how easy is that!

Before you wander through the galleries, however, you are invited to go here, THIS I BELIEVE -- My Statement of Faith (and Love Song to the Lord that may surprise you). Then, let's be a kid again for a few minutes and plop on our Let's Pretend Hat! We'll tour the WANNABE ART STUDIO where Teapots Talk and Teacups bear Fruits of the Spirit.  Here's where you will view many original paintings by this Wannabe Artist.  Hopefully,  your own creativity will be nudged!

If you have ever said, “I would give anything to be an artist!” or “Oh, I can’t draw a straight line!” then I invite you to the I WANNABE AN ARTIST! GALLERY. You will not believe your eyes when I share six little words that I
(almost...) guarantee will make you  one! You will find many tips   I have spent half a lifetime learning: Tips for Portrait Painting, Lighting, Posing, How to get a Likeness, Setting Up a Still Life, Framing (new page completed), and Developing Your Own Style. A pastel portrait demonstration is being created (new page completed) and other demonstrations will follow.

INFORMATION will map the route that led this artist to that Pot of Gold -- and more -- at Rainbow's end -- on to where we are today, and where we're going Tomorrow!

A passion for five years was painting THE LION AND THE LAMB SERIES. Each of the twelve paintings is accompanied by a selected Bible scripture.  Prints from all twelve paintings are available here.

So, whether you are a WANNABE or simply browsing the Internet in "GODSPACE", thanks for stopping by!  I hope you enjoy your visit.
