AMAZING GRACE

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound,

That saved a wretch like me.

I once was lost, but now I'm found

Was blind, but now I see.

Hello! What your name? My name is Grace! My Mama call me Amazing Grace 'cause I do so good but not seeing. How you be doing today?

I know you are my friend. How I know? Hmmm I just do! Would you like to hold my lily? It smell pretty. It smell like Mama.  Here, I share it to you.

Guess what?! I blind since I be born nine years now. But I don't mind. Well...a little. Just sometime when other children laugh after I fall down. Every time I fall is when I wish I could find Jesus.  If I can find Jesus, he make Gracie's eyes see -- with just the tiniest touch of his little pinkie finger! How I know? Hmmm I just do!

Guess what?! Only one time I get lost. Really lost.  For a while I don't know. But then I be groping around in the dark trying to find my way home.  Listen, Gracie tell you about it...........

Once I heard Jesus in a big crowd. He was saying, Blessed is the man who can't see and still believes -- or something like that. And he said something else: A little child shall lead them.

Oh, how I wish I could be the child that could lead somebody! It's always the other way. Somebody leading Gracie! But I not complaining! No, no, no! Somebody lead Gracie straight to Jesus one day. How I know? Hmmm I just do!

Guess what?! Mama got close to Jesus that day. She did! She be  really sick. Sick for long time. I  so scared. Scared Mama would die. That day she came home singing and jumping and laughing! Really! Like someone silly! I tell you Grace haven't heard my Mama laugh since I was little girl.............

Gracie! Oh, Gracie! I've just seen Jesus! The bleeding stopped! Gracie! I got close enough to Jesus all I had to do was reach out and touch the hem of his garment! And he KNEW! He looked at me! Gracie, Jesus LOOKED at me! Oh, Gracie, I want you to see Jesus. I want him to look at you. Come. Now! Just as you are...Come with me to find Jesus. No, Gracie, you don't need to comb your hair. You don't need to change your smock. Jesus said, Come just as you are! Gracie, Jesus is waiting for you. He is whispering your name. He said, NOW is the time! He said, bring Grace to me now............

Well, there.  So now you know. Grace be right here waiting. Just waiting for Jesus to look at me. Would you like to keep my lily? What your name? Don't you talk? All this time I do all the talking and you do the smelling. And the listening and...

Grace. GRACE...! MARVELOUS GRACE!!

My child. Be healed.

Didn't I tell you if Jesus touched my eyes with his tiny little pinkie finger I would... gasp! JESUS!  Jesus, I can see!!

 ..............

Mama! MAMA!! OH, MAMA, JESUS LOOKED AT ME! HE DIDN'T SAY A WORD, JUST STOOD THERE SMELLING THE LILY AND LET GRACIE DO ALL THAT TALKING...and then,...oh, Mama. Jesus LOOKED at me... He looked at me. When he gave me back my lily

I COULD SEE HIM!  I saw Jesus LOOK at me!

Oh, Mama, Gracie was lost.  But Amazing Grace found Jesus!

Jesus make Gracie see!

.................

YOU say: How I know? Hmmm I just do!

'Cause I once was blind, and now I see!

THAT'S how I know!
